Melissa didn’t know it, but a quick weekend trip away from the California sunshine (and into the Seattle drizzle) with her boyfriend and son would also be the weekend Patrick would propose!
Patrick contacted me in advance of their trip and we made arrangements for the photographing and videorecording of the proposal as surreptitiously as possible. Towards the end Melissa may have started to suspect something but luckily a busy week at work helped distract her.
